Run in with Simon

Friday, April 11 / 2008

I tagged along with Nate Laverty the other day cause I had nothing better to do. We met up with Simon and Odam in whistler and went to check out a gap to ledge. I was there just as a spectator at first but ended up shooting sequences well Rich got the stills.
I put down my camera to play goalie and keep Simon from going for a dip in the river and well...I did my job me thinks.

Sicamous, BC

Monday, April 7 / 2008

The crew was Mark Sollors, Steve Cartwright, Rusty Ockenden, Mikey Pederson, Nate Laverty and our friend Dione. We spent 4 days there and weather was hit and miss so were already making plans to go back. We ate every morning at this Tim's and the last morning we met a pleasant small town man who told us it looked like the Circus was in town and insisted on going home to get his bat so he could beat us all. He also told us he used to f@$% kids like us in jail????

Sun Peaks You Look Good Contest.

Saturday, March 15 / 2008

We fly in from Ontario and leave from the airport to Sun Peaks for the weekend. My intension was to shoot the contest but fellow photog Rich Roth and myself had a run in on the hill friday and I could not move the next day. So I have no shots and had to steel one of Rich's from facebook.
Craig Bealieu and Breanna Strangeland took down stop #5 of 5 at Sunpeaks.
Great contest great after party and all around great weekend.Mr Singleton Knows how to put on an event.

Back to Ontario Mid February

Thursday, February 28 / 2008

These first 2-3 posts are from february but I just got on to bneeth.com so I'm playing catch up. Out west for all of two weeks myself, Steve Cartwright, Mark Sollors and Film guy Nate Laverty head back to Ontario in search of rails. They had an amazing season for snowfall and with a list of rails in Cartwright's lil black book we were sure to get some work done. What sucks is the general public is finally clueing in to urban snowboarding. We have never been shut down and harassed like we were on this trip. We even had a maniac in a tractor break our drop in with a hammer! Between crap like that and nosey neighbors at ever spot we hit I'm suprised we came away with anything. We also got to meet up with Geoff Brown for 3 days while he was here on contest duty.

First night In Squamish

Tuesday, February 5 / 2008

Coming from Toronto I was bracing to bleed myself dry in the waiting room but to my surprise I was in and out of the Squamish hospital in 30 minutes.
