Tuesday, July 1 / 2008

Download the free Mixtape here courtesty of the Boneyards site

For those of you who aren't familiar with the Stussy x Boneyards movement, this is a bit of info from their website:

"Boneyards is a collaboration of friends from Toyko to Los Angeles, inspired by a real geographic location by way of a mythical time and place.
This is the best of the many worlds we comfortably move through out and intersect. The ocean, the streets, Lowriders, bombs, motorcycles.
Skating, surfing, Oldies, Punk Rock, High Art, Low Art. Defiantly undefined, we create freedom by cutting through the fences THEY have given us to live behind"

Ra! Ra! Ryan Bonnell

Tuesday, July 1 / 2008

Here’s a video treat for your long summer weekend. This is a segment from the last Underattack Tour(season 4 #12) featuring Ryan Bonnell. Some of you may have already seen the full episode televised on Razer, Extreme or Music Plus, but for those that haven’t, you get to watch this poor quality version. As well, watch the skate video “Republic".

America Day, aka 4th of July, aka July 4th, aka not a holiday in Canada

Friday, July 4 / 2008

Today is America Day. For their celebration, I will be rolling down to Yankee soil to… soil… on the USA’s version of Vancouver, “Seattle”. Anyhow, aside from drinking double your weight in light beer, and celebrating your Yankdom with some freedom fries, you could watch this video by Jack English American.

Matt Costa Amateur? video

Saturday, July 5 / 2008

So randomly I get a call from Matt Costa who is currently on his tour in Kansas at the time of the call. Looks like Fueltv is doing a episode on him regarding his skateboarding thing, then his music career.

For those who don't know, Matt Costa had a part in my first video (2001) called Amateur?. It had amateur and first time parts of Don "Nuge" Nguyen, Ricardo Carvallo, Steve Kindle, Robert Lim and Aaron Babila.

Ok, back to Matt... after he got hurt, he was bedridden for a while, started playing guitar and recording on a small 4 or 8 track... now is on his third album currently touring the United States and Europe.

Its funny, because I haven't broken into this box of tapes in about 8 years, which makes me realize, I've been doing this skateboard industry career many many years, and still love it like it was the first day.

Kevin Wu - Life of a Landlord: Episode 1

Saturday, July 5 / 2008

Our homies over at illVideoProductions recently made a lil video of Kevin Wu for their Life as a Landlord series on youtube. I would have posted this way earlier but I just got clearance from the filmer and editor Dane Collison.

Unlike some other sites out there that will remain nameless, at Bneeth we always make sure to at least link back and/or try our best to ask for all content if its not originally ours. Dane's words - "Yo mike.. Ya man you can post that kevin wu vid.. im totally down. Thanks for making the effort to ask it seems that doesnt go down enough these days".

On that note, everyone reading this should head over to Skatenewspot where you can read the full length Kevin Wu article that Ben put together. Its got a great list of questions and some amazing photos. Word.
